FPSE Legal Support, Resources and Services

FPSE members have both phone and in-person access to qualified attorneys to assist them in a wide variety of legal issues. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

  • Divorce and family law

In addition to phone consultations, members are entitled to a free 30-minute consultation with a 25% reduction in customary legal fees thereafter.
Members are also entitled to free online Will preparation. Our online Estate Guidance program lets you quickly and easily write a will on your computer.  You simply follow the prompts to create and download your Will at no cost.  Online support and instructions for executing and filing your will are included.  You can:

  • Name an executor to manager your estate
  • Choose a guardian for your children
  • Specify your wishes for your property
  • Provide funeral and burial instructions

FPSE Confidential Counseling

No-cost counseling service to help you address stress, relationship and other personal issues you and your family may face. It is staffed by highly trained master’s and doctoral level clinicians who will listen to your concerns and quickly refer you to in-person counseling (up to 3 sessions per issue per year) and other resources for:

FPSE Provided $20,000 and $50,000 Life Insurance for Member

  • Each member automatically receives a $20,000 life insurance benefit as part of their membership dues.  Our first responders, including Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Corrections Officers receive $50,000. - FPSE Provided Disability Benefit for Members

  • Each member automatically receives a Long-Term Disability benefit as part of their membership dues.  If a member is hurt on or off the job and is unable to work, they will receive $500 a month for up to (5) five years to assist them with their expenses. Each year the FPSE Family Scholarship Programs provides financial support to our members their children and grandchildren.  Members attending an accredited college or university are eligible for scholarship assistance.  Children and grandchildren of members who are graduating high school seniors may apply as well.  This scholarship may be used for any field of study. The application period is January 1st – March 15th.

Eligibility:

  • At time of application be a member in good standing for at least one-year
  • Be enrolled in a community college or university taking course work in any field of study
  • For children and grandchildren be a graduating high school senior
  • Return completed application and required documentation by March 15th.
